About

Hello there! This is my brief attempt to explain a not-so-brief journey. The who I am, what I do, and why I care.

I'm John, born in Banff (a town with the grandest of mountains) and raised in Calgary (some city in Canada). I'm ambitious about helping people and obsessed with making an impact in the world around me.

I've probably thought of doing every career imaginable, from my earliest aspirations of being a wildlife biologist to designing bridges as a civil engineer to becoming a licensed therapist and finally building the future as a software engineer.

I had a lot of interests and while that left me with a lot of hobbies, it always seemed like I was a jack of all trades and master of none. What drew me to software engineering was the adaptability and applicability of software in any and every industry. Any idea that appeared, I could build it, and fast too.

I'm currently a third-year Business and Computer Science student studying at the University of British Columbia, working on various projects and technologies, specifically surrounding finanical technologies. My passion lies in creating impact and software that is critical. Beyond my aspirations, I like to level up.
